This great French pianist, who views music as a true vocation and allows the works he performs in public to mature over a long period of time, has finally declared himself ready at the age of 77 to deliver his vision of Beethoven’s last sonatas: opus 109 and 101. In the second half, Jean-Claude Pennetier will play some of Fauré’s finest works, which he has recently recorded in their entirety, and of which he is undoubtedly one of the most authoritative performers in the world today.
